The TwelveByTwelve (TBT) standard for MATHEMATICS (UBC Math 140)

TwelveByTwelve (TBT): Marko on break with a group of UBC students in Professor Ali Astaneh's Math 140 class

A group from UBC Mathematics 140 on a break between two one-hour lectures.  Dr. Ali Astaneh, Mathematics 140 instructor, is second from right.  Marko is third from left.  Long aperture opening resulted in blur where there was movement.

UBC Mathematics 140, completed at age 10:10, while nominally a grade 5 graduate, earning a course grade of 74%

This is the first of Marko's four UBC calculus courses (Math 140, 141, 100, 101) which together considerably overshoot the TwelveByTwelve standard of completing Grade 12 math by the age of 12.

Mathematics 140 and 141 are differential and integral calculus courses for students in the Faculty of Arts, for which reason the problems come often from the fields of business and economics.
